I also use an external Logitech trackball as my primary input. I am using Maya 2016 SP5 on a MacBook Pro with El Capitan. I have also completely uninstalled and reinstalled Maya and that hasn't fixed it. This doesn't take happen every time, and closing Maya and reopening may or may not temporarily fix it. So I switch to scale mode and then back to translate and it works OK. (Only one is switched on at a time.) The right-click still functions properly. The problem persists when using either mouse. I have 2 different mouses: an Apple Magic Mouse 1 and an Apple Magic Mouse 2. For example, if I enable the translate handle and click on it to move the object, instead a marking menu pops up. All of a sudden, my 2013 rMBP often perceives a left-click on my Magic Mouse 2 as a right-click. In order to move the manipulator as normal I have to switch to a different transformer and then back. ![]() ![]() When working in Maya during a session, eventually a bug sometimes pops up where left clicking on a transformation handle in a viewport to change the manipulator (translate, rotate, or scale) instead brings up a marking menu as if I had right clicked. If someone could point me to a fix for this I would owe them for all time.
